Organisers have asked me to be be a performer at the The 2013 Music and Blossom Festival, the 75th Annual Festival hosted in Canon City, Colorado.
I’ve been to Canon City once, to stop at a wonderful stone and gem seller, and to raft in the Royal Gorge in roughly June 2012. I had a wonderful time. On the way back to Colorado Springs, my companions and I discovered the Waldo Canyon Fire, and moved from the water toward the dry burning town.
I have a wonderful slab of quartz I found when hiking from the river through the dry desert range, in search of water. This monstrous chunk stays by my bedside.
